Position Summary
RJP hotsy is seeking a skilled, dependable, and mechanically inclined Field Service Technician
to diagnose, repair, maintain, install, and support commercial pressure washing equipment and
related cleaning systems for both in-shop and customer field service applications.
This role is critical to ensuring customer equipment uptime, operational reliability, and
exceptional service support. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong
mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills who takes pride in delivering high-quality
repairs and professional customer service.
This is a fast-paced, field-oriented technical role requiring urgency, accountability, and strong
diagnostic ability.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Diagnosis, Repair & Maintenance
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain:
commercial hot water pressure washers
cold water pressure washers
soft wash systems
trailer-mounted wash systems
skid-mounted systems
industrial pump systems
burner systems
hose reels
spray systems
chemical injection systems
surface cleaners
reclaim / recovery systems
water filtration components
generators
related commercial cleaning equipment
Mechanical Service Work
Perform repairs involving:
pumps
valves
seals
regulators
belts
bearings
motors
gas engines
diesel engines
plumbing systems
pressure control systems
fuel systems
burner assemblies
water flow systems
Electrical Troubleshooting
Diagnose and repair:
electrical wiring
switches
relays
battery systems
ignition circuits
control panels
electric motors
low-voltage controls
pressure switches
burner ignition systems
Field Service / Customer Support
Travel to customer locations to perform service calls, diagnostics, maintenance, and
repairs.
Respond quickly to urgent customer equipment issues.
Conduct on-site troubleshooting and repair.
Communicate repair findings and recommendations professionally.
Provide excellent customer service while representing RJP hotsy in the field.
Ensure equipment is safe and operational before returning to service.
Equipment Installation Setup
Assemble and configure new pressure washing equipment.
Install commercial pressure washing systems at customer sites.
Perform startup testing and operational verification.
Train customers on proper equipment operation and preventative maintenance basics.
Preventative Maintenance
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance services.
Inspect systems for wear, leaks, damage, or safety concerns.
Replace worn components proactively.
Document service work and maintenance history.
Shop Operations Support
Support in-shop service work as needed.
Maintain clean, safe, organized workspaces.
Track parts, service materials, and tool usage.
Coordinate with service, parts, and sales teams to ensure efficient execution.
Qualifications
Required
3+ years of mechanical repair / service technician experience
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
Experience with pumps, motors, plumbing systems, or industrial mechanical equipment
Electrical troubleshooting experience
Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Strong hand-tool and power-tool proficiency
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Ability to lift 75 lbs
Ability to work in physically demanding indoor/outdoor environments
