Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months Contract

Position Overview

Client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA) to support IT project initiation efforts, technology procurements, and business systems analysis activities. This role will focus on evaluating IT project requests, gathering and documenting business requirements, supporting procurement initiatives, and collaborating with business and technical teams to deliver successful technology solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess strong business analysis, requirements management, stakeholder engagement, process improvement, and documentation skills, along with experience supporting IT procurements and SDLC activities.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst supporting IT projects, system implementations, or technology procurements.
  • Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, data analysis techniques, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Experience documenting current-state (AS-IS) and future-state (TO-BE) business processes and creating user interface mockups/wireframes.
  • Proven ability to gather, analyze, validate, and document complex business, functional, and data requirements.
  • Experience facilitating stakeholder interviews, workshops, Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions, and requirement review meetings.
  • Experience creating process flows, workflow diagrams, use cases, user stories, functional specifications, and business process documentation.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience developing Statements of Work (SOW), procurement documentation, vendor evaluation materials, or contract-related artifacts.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interviewing, negotiation, facilitation, and active listening skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to create detailed specifications, reports, and executive presentations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting government or public-sector IT initiatives.
  • Experience with procurement lifecycle activities and vendor management.
  • Familiarity with workflow automation and business process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working with enterprise applications and large-scale system implementations.
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, Visio, SharePoint, Balsamiq, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid project methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
