Magellan Healthcare, PC is seeking a dedicated and licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team in a full-time remote capacity. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize your education and experience to perform independent psychosocial assessments, diagnosing conditions that align with the needs of your patients.
• Collaborate closely with clients to devise personalized treatment plans that respect their unique challenges and goals, ensuring a patient-centered approach to care.
• Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions, such as solution-focused therapy and motivational interviewing, to promote positive change in each patient’s life.
• Maintain effective communication with other healthcare providers, including psychologists and primary care providers, to ensure a holistic, integrated treatment approach.
• Regularly monitor patient progress through systematic tracking of treatment responses, adjusting methods as necessary based on feedback and observed results.
• Support patients in managing prescribed psychotropic medications, focusing on adherence, potential side effects, and treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will engage with a diverse population of clients at the detox center, many of whom face complex mental health issues intertwined with substance use disorders. Your work will involve understanding and addressing the unique needs of individuals from various backgrounds, ensuring that each patient is treated with respect, dignity, and comprehensive care strategies tailored to their circumstances.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) is required.
• A valid and unrestricted license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New York is mandatory to practice independently.
• Minimum of one year of experience as an independently licensed therapist, demonstrating a proven track record in providing effective mental health care.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of experience is required, candidates with experience in substance use treatment or detox environments will be highly regarded. Proficiency in working with diverse populations, along with familiarity with telehealth practices, will enhance your ability to thrive in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, reflecting your experience and expertise in the field.
