Job Summary:
MCBANK is seeking a Director of Enterprise Project Management to provide strategic leadership and governance oversight for the organization's project management function. This role involves establishing project management standards, leading a team of senior project managers, and partnering with executive leadership to drive organizational performance and business transformation.
Responsibilities:
• Establish and continuously evolve the enterprise PMO strategy, framework, and operating model in alignment with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
• Define, implement, and govern project management methodologies, standards, tools, and best practices across all business units.
• Develop and maintain the enterprise project portfolio governance structure, including stage-gate processes, portfolio review cadences, and escalation protocols.
• Partner with C-suite and executive leadership to align the project portfolio with corporate strategy and ensure resource allocation supports organizational objectives.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of the enterprise project portfolio, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of major programs and initiatives.
• Lead integrated planning processes to prioritize competing demands, manage interdependencies, and optimize resource utilization across the portfolio.
• Establish and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and dashboards that provide executive leadership with real-time visibility into portfolio health.
• Proactively identify, assess, and manage strategic risks and issues at the portfolio level, escalating appropriately and driving resolution.
• Ensure delivery of projects on time, within scope, and on budget while maintaining quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of senior project managers, program managers, and PMO analysts.
• Define performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and create individual development plans aligned with career growth.
• Cultivate a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, psychological safety, and operational excellence within the PMO.
• Identify capability gaps and implement training, mentoring, and certification programs to advance project management competency across the enterprise.
• Prepare and deliver executive-level briefings, portfolio status reports, and strategic recommendations with clarity and analytical rigor.
• Build and sustain trusted relationships across the enterprise, acting as a strategic advisor and change agent for project delivery excellence.
• Facilitate governance forums, portfolio review boards, and steering committee meetings to enable effective decision-making.
• Champion the adoption of project management best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the project delivery lifecycle.
• Lead or sponsor organizational change management efforts associated with major enterprise programs, ensuring adoption and sustainment of change.
• Evaluate and implement PMO tools, technologies, and platforms (e.g., PPM software, collaboration tools, reporting systems) to enhance PMO capability and efficiency.
• Establish lessons-learned and knowledge management processes to institutionalize organizational learning across the project portfolio.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 12 years of progressive project and program management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing an enterprise PMO or comparable function.
• Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-million-dollar enterprise transformation programs across matrixed organizations.
• Proven experience building, scaling, and leading high-performing PMO teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
• Extensive experience presenting to and influencing C-suite executives, boards, and senior stakeholders.
• Expert command of project management methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, SAFe, and hybrid frameworks.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and executive presence with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Proficiency with enterprise PPM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Project Online, Planview, Smartsheet, ServiceNow SPM) and collaboration tools.
• Deep understanding of organizational change management principles and enterprise transformation dynamics.
• High emotional intelligence with the ability to lead through ambiguity, build consensus, and navigate organizational complexity.
• Experience in financial services, healthcare, technology, or manufacturing with domain-specific regulatory and compliance knowledge.
• Background in IT portfolio management or digital transformation leadership.
• Experience managing globally distributed teams across multiple time zones and geographies.
Preferred:
• Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) strongly preferred.
