Description:Position Summary

We are seeking professional and customer-focused Event Security Agents to provide safety, security, and exceptional service at events throughout New York City. Event Security Agents play a critical role in maintaining a secure environment for guests, staff, performers, vendors, and venue personnel by monitoring event activities, enforcing policies, controlling access points, and responding to incidents in a calm and professional manner.

The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, and capable of working effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide visible security presence at assigned event venues and locations.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, backstage areas, VIP zones, and restricted-access locations.
  • Verify tickets, credentials, identification, and event access permissions as required.
  • Conduct bag inspections and screening procedures in accordance with event policies.
  • Patrol assigned areas to identify and report safety hazards, suspicious activity, or security concerns.
  • Assist with crowd management and guest flow during event entry, operation, and exit.
  • Respond appropriately to disturbances, emergencies, medical incidents, and policy violations.
  • De-escalate conflicts and maintain order in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Enforce venue rules, security procedures, and client-specific requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, event staff, law enforcement, and emergency responders when necessary.
  • Complete incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.
  • Assist with emergency evacuations and implementation of emergency response procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with directions, information, and general inquiries.
Requirements:QualificationsRequired
  • Valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations.
  • Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended event hours.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Preferred
  • Previous experience in event security, venue operations, hospitality, customer service, or law enforcement.
  • Experience working concerts, sporting events, festivals, conventions, or special events.
  • Fire Guard certification (F-04).
  • Bilingual or multilingual communication skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8-12 hours).
  • Ability to patrol large venues, stairways, parking areas, and event grounds.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to observe surroundings and react quickly to changing conditions.
  • Ability to maintain focus and alertness throughout assigned shifts.
