POSITION SUMMARY
The President of Ironsmith Fire will serve as the senior operational leader of the company and will be responsible for leading and scaling all day-to-day business operations across the organization. Reporting to the CEO, this role will oversee operational execution, strategic growth initiatives, financial performance, field operations, sales execution, customer experience, and organizational development across all life safety service lines.
The President will provide leadership and direction across the company's installation, service, inspection, fabrication, alarm, suppression, extinguisher, and life safety operations while ensuring alignment with Ironsmith Fire's strategic vision, financial objectives, operational standards, and core values.
A primary focus of this role will be leading the continued expansion and operational development of Alarm, Special Hazards/Suppression, and related recurring service divisions while strengthening operational infrastructure, scalability, accountability, and profitability across the organization.
The President will work closely with executive leadership and shared services functions to drive operational excellence, support future growth initiatives, standardize processes across branches and departments, and position Ironsmith Fire for long-term expansion.
This role requires a high-impact leader with strong operational acumen, experience leading multi-disciplinary construction or life safety operations, and the ability to build high-performing teams while executing growth-oriented business strategies in a fast-paced environment.
OBJECTIVES
Operational Leadership
โข Lead and oversee all company operations with a focus on safety, quality, profitability, scalability, and operational excellence.
โข Provide strategic leadership and direction across installation, service, inspection, fabrication, alarm, suppression, extinguisher, and life safety operations.
โข Lead and support Branch Managers and operational leadership teams to ensure alignment with company objectives, accountability standards, and culture.
โข Drive operational consistency, execution, and performance across all branches and departments.
โข Serve as the senior operational leader and primary point of contact for day-to-day business operations across the organization.
Strategic Growth & Business Expansion
โข Partner with executive leadership to execute the company's strategic vision, long-term growth initiatives, and operational objectives.
โข Lead the continued development and expansion of Alarm, Suppression, Extinguisher, and recurring service divisions.
โข Identify opportunities for operational growth, market expansion, process improvement, and service diversification.
โข Build scalable operational infrastructure, systems, and processes that support sustainable growth and future acquisitions or expansion initiatives.
โข Drive operational integration and alignment between field operations, sales, design, safety, and shared services functions.
Financial & Performance Management
โข Maintain accountability for operational performance, profitability, labor productivity, customer satisfaction, and execution across the organization.
โข Monitor key operational and financial performance indicators to improve margins, field efficiency, project execution, and service delivery.
โข Develop and implement operational strategies that support revenue growth, gross profit performance, and long-term enterprise value creation.
โข Mitigate operational and organizational risks while implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
โข Partner with Finance, Human Resources, Safety, Sales, and other leadership functions to ensure operational and financial alignment across the business.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
โข 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in construction, specialty contracting, fire protection, mechanical services, or related industries, including 7+ years in senior executive or operational leadership roles such as President, COO, Vice President of Operations, Regional/Divisional Leader, or equivalent.
โข Proven track record of leading and scaling multi-branch operations, driving operational performance, and supporting high-growth organizations.
โข Strong understanding of operational leadership, field execution, project management, labor management, financial performance, and resource optimization across service and construction environments.
โข Demonstrated experience developing, launching, integrating, or scaling new business lines, operational divisions, or service offerings.
โข Experience in fire protection, alarm systems, suppression systems, life safety, mechanical contracting, or related specialty trades strongly preferred.
โข Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and align operations, sales, field execution, and organizational strategy to support long-term business growth.
โข Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience and executive leadership background will also be strongly considered. MBA or advanced business education is a plus.
