The Transportation Dispatcher will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating transportation operations across multiple modes. Working within a large team of 16 or more, the dispatcher ensures efficient schedule coordination, driver communication, and load management using commercial dispatch software. This position requires frequent on-call and occasional after-hours availability, emphasizing compliance monitoring and emergency handling to maintain seamless fleet operations. CDL certification is mandatory for this role.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate schedules to optimize transportation routes and load assignments
• Communicate effectively with drivers to provide updates and instructions
• Manage load assignments ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
• Monitor compliance with transportation regulations and company policies
• Handle emergencies promptly to minimize operational disruptions
• Enter and maintain accurate data related to dispatch activities
• Generate reports to track fleet performance and operational metrics
• Track fleet locations and statuses across multiple transportation modes

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in transportation dispatching
• Valid CDL A or B license

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience with commercial dispatch software
• Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Proven problem-solving and time management abilities
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment

Must have verifiable dispatch experience of 3 years, in high volume setting.
