Job Summary

Deepview is supporting a leading automotive manufacturing facility in Plymouth, MI seeking a Production Manager to lead plant-floor production operations in a fast-paced automotive assembly environment.

This role is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing leader with experience managing supervisors, driving daily production performance, improving efficiency, and supporting safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily production operations across assigned manufacturing/assembly areas
• Manage, coach, and develop production supervisors, team leads, and hourly associates
• Drive safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity performance
• Support daily production schedules, labor planning, manpower needs, and floor execution
• Monitor KPIs including downtime, scrap, efficiency, OEE, labor utilization, and production output
• Partner with quality, maintenance, engineering, materials, HR, and plant leadership to resolve issues
• Support continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, 5S, standardized work, and root cause problem solving
• Ensure production teams are meeting customer requirements and internal performance targets
• Help develop strong accountability, communication, and leadership discipline across the production floor
• Support launch activity, customer demands, and high-volume manufacturing expectations

Qualifications

• Production leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• Automotive, Tier 1, assembly, plastics, lighting, or high-volume manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience leading supervisors, team leads, and hourly production teams
• Strong understanding of plant operations, labor planning, production flow, quality, and delivery
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and people leadership skills
• Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and KPI management experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but strong hands-on manufacturing leadership experience will be considered
