Job Title: Armed Security Officer
Location: Multiple Sites in DC and Maryland

Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and professional Security Officers to join our team. Security Officers will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond calmly and effectively to situations.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect security breaches.
  • Monitor and control access points to ensure only authorized personnel enter secure areas.
  • Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies, providing assistance and support as needed.
  • Prepare detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services as necessary.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a secure environment.
  • Utilize conflict resolution skills to de-escalate potential threats.
  • Stay informed about security policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
  • DC: Valid DCSO and DC CCW or DC SPO License
  • Maryland: Valid Maryland Guard Card and Maryland Wear and Carry
  • Must have your own external carrier, body armor, duty belt and minimum level 2 duty holster
  • All equipment MUST be approved by APS
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in security or law enforcement roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficient in using security technology and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

  • Must pass a background check and drug screening
