Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC lathe machines according to engineering specifications and production schedules.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
  • Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet tolerances and specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to meet production goals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
  • Document production data and report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a CNC lathe operator or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine set-up procedures.
  • Familiarity with G-code and M-code programming languages.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a machining environment.
