We are a rural non-profit community hospital located in the city of Roseburg, in the US State of Oregon. We have 171 licensed beds on a 90-acre (36 ha) campus, and the hospital has a heliport for patients arriving to the emergency room via helicopter. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. We are the only hospital in Douglas County, Oregon, and has been since 2000. With 1,139 employees, the hospital is the second largest employer in the county, and in Roseburg. In the most recent year with available data, we've had 45,870 emergency room visits, 7,180 admissions, 1,679 inpatient surgeries, and 584 outpatient surgeries.

Overview

Under the direction of the Family Birthplace Nursing Director, the Family Birth Place RN performs duties by applying professional nursing theory and principles, and utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care given to patients. Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in providing patient care. Demonstrates clinical, organizational and communication skills in dealing with patients, families and other health care workers. Top "Must Haves" from the Account Executive: 1. Current RN license issued by the State of Oregon 2. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing 3. 2 years acute care RN experience, previous experience in a Family Birth Place setting preferred
