**Do you speak fluent** **Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)** **? Are you also fluent in English? Do you love helping others that speak the same language? I am looking to hire bilingual customer service reps to answer calls from other Chinese speakers that need assistance with applying for Medicaid or other insurance programs run by New York State. These can become permanent positions based on performance. There is plenty of room for growth and advancement with our client. There is an opportunity to work from home and telecommute after training is completed. You must live in the New York City/Manhattan vicinity.**
Randstad is hiring Chinese speaking (bilingual) customer service reps to work with our client in Manhattan. Paid training is offered for this opportunity. Once training is completed, you may be hired on permanently by our client (based on performance) and have the option to transition to working from home.
**Duties / Responsibilities:**
Responds to enrollment services calls, provides responses to questions, mails information in response to request, and refers callers in the event of problems or concerns. Educates clients on managed care. Assesses client's health care needs and assists clients in choosing a health plan. Maintains updated knowledge of the New York Medicaid CHOICE Project. Assists clients in enrolling/disenrolling in health plans. Receives and sorts enrollment/disenrollment forms.
Reviews enrollment forms for accuracy and completeness.
Processes enrollment/disenrollment forms. Sends necessary letters to clients.
Raises issues of concern and/or problems to the attention of the Central Operations Supervisor.
Performs managed care education and enrollment services when call volume warrants. Assists or performs mailroom functions, when assigned.
Meets all standards established for this position as outlined in the attached performance criteria.
Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Call Center Supervisor or management.
**Working hours:** Training Hours: 8-5:30 approx. Shift is 8 hours between 9-9 after training. Rotating Saturdays are required.
Chinese Speaking candidates needed. Must be fluent in English and Chinese. Must love helping others on the phone.
Previous experience in customer service/call centers preferred.
Must complete a series of skills assessments to qualify for this job.
College degree preferred; knowledge of the community to be served; effective communication skills; ability to follow directions: ability to interact courteously and effectively with a variety of people; ability to handle pressure and perform multiple tasks.
Preferred qualifications include two years of human services experience or experience dealing with the public; fluency in commonly spoken languages required for some positions.
