Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a driven Electrical Engineer with water and wastewater experience to join our Resilience Water team. This hybrid role can be based in any of our Ohio offices or in Detroit, Michigan, and offers the opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects that protect water resources, strengthen communities, and advance sustainable, resilient solutions.

As part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, you'll contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of complex electrical systems for water, wastewater, and industrial facilities-from concept through construction. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys technical depth, project collaboration, and making a tangible impact through essential infrastructure.

Role accountabilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Plan, design, and coordinate electrical systems for water and wastewater facilities, including power distribution, motor control systems, VFDs, lighting, communications, fire alarm, and control systems
  • Produce high-quality electrical design deliverables such as one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans, specifications, and design calculations using Autodesk and Bentley platforms
  • Support project delivery by assisting with budgets, schedules, and coordination to ensure projects are executed successfully within scope, schedule, and budget
  • Perform power system studies and analyses using tools such as ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or similar software to support safe, reliable, and resilient system performance
  • Provide engineering support during construction through submittal and shop drawing reviews, RFI responses, field inspections, and collaboration with clients, contractors, and internal teams

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline
  • 5 years of experience supporting water/wastewater projects
  • EIT or Professional Engineer (PE)

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
