Revolution Healthcare Services is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Columbus, Ohio.

Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit RN – Ohio

Start Date: July 13, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, every other/third weekend required

Highlights:

  • 22-bed progressive care unit specializing in burns, plastic/reconstructive surgery, urology, GYN, ENT, and oral/maxillofacial post-operative care
  • Average daily census of 20 patients with adult and geriatric population
  • Teaching hospital environment with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
  • EPIC documentation system with Pyxis medication management
  • Specialized procedures include burn dressings, flap checks, and leech therapy
  • Floating required within the organization as needed

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications current and valid
  • Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/stepdown experience
  • Experience with similar patient populations preferred
  • Previous charge RN experience preferred
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
  • 2 professional references required (at least 1 from manager/director or formal leadership)

Essential Skills:

  • Telemetry monitoring (unit-based and remote), arterial line management, central line and PICC care
  • Blood product administration, IV insulin protocols, heparin protocols
  • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, PCA pumps, wound care/wound vac
  • Feeding tube management, surgical drain care, isolation precautions/PPE
  • Non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, phlebotomy, IV starts and maintenance

Important Compliance Information:

  • Strict compliance deadline of Tuesday prior to start date with no exceptions
  • Ohio fingerprinting process must be completed immediately upon contract signing
  • Candidates outside Ohio but within driving distance must travel to Ohio fingerprinting location as soon as possible
  • Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
  • Former employees eligible after 6 months separation; current employees ineligible
