Job description

U.S. Lumber is currently looking for a Material Handler to work the Day Shift in our Hebron, OH branch to join our VALUES based organization. In this role you will focus on performing a number of different and important responsibilities in material receiving, material & product movement, product shipping and production support responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, audit, inspect, ID and put away incoming material to proper locations

  • Maintain housekeeping and organization in warehouse and other material location areas

  • Maintain correct inventories by moving materials in computer when physically moving materials

  • Assists assigning production areas when not moving materials

  • Ensure the product and or materials meet quality expectations

  • Notify supervisor of improvement opportunities

  • Support area needs to remove empty pallets, trash and recycle type materials

  • Clean all parts and pieces using sandpaper, acetone on a cloth rag, or using air hose to blow off dust in tough to reach areas to ensure parts and pieces are ready to be painted

  • Assist pre-finish line area with removal of completed product to go to build prep and or stretch-wrap machine

  • Stage completed and stretched wrapped products into shipping staging lanes by loads

  • Load trucks with products per direction of Manager

  • Responsible for adhering to forklift, operational, quality and safety guidelines

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Experience: One to two years related experience on sit down forklift
