Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position in Ohio, requiring Epic proficiency and advanced cardiac skills including balloon pumps, PA lines, and vents.

  • Estimated patient ratio of 1:1–2
  • Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)

Requirements
  • Active OH or Compact RN license required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience preferred
  • Proficiency in IV start, telemetry, mechanical ventilation, Swan-Ganz catheter (SWANZ), conscious sedation, balloon pumps, and PA lines
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred
  • 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); second reference may be from a Charge RN; co-worker references are not accepted
Additional Information
  • Local candidates are accepted
  • Former facility employees are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation from the facility
  • Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or fewer
  • Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting the position; candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location or will be mailed a fingerprinting packet to complete urgently upon receipt
  • Multiple parking permit options are available for purchase on-site through the campus parking program
