Company Description: We are a well-established, rapidly growing talent company in GTA. We are currently hiring Servers (Golf and resort side) for our client in Muskoka.
They have been welcoming guests to their shores of stunning Lake Muskoka location since 1926. They have a unique balance of boutique hotels and expansive resorts, a combination that perfectly reflects both their legendary surroundings and modern style. As a Server, you must provide the guests with professional, personable, knowledgeable, and efficient service of all food and beverage items.
REPORTS TO: Food and Beverage Supervisor
Greet guests, present menus, inform of any specials, make recommendations and
answer questions regarding food and beverage items.
Engage, converse and interact with guests in a positive, friendly, professional, courteous, and respectful manner always.
Take food and beverage orders and accurately input them in the POS system for cooks, accurately and effectively communicating any modifications if required.
Drive a golf beverage cart around the course and sell drinks, alcohol, and snacks to hungry
and thirsty golfers.
Greet guests, inform of any specials, make recommendations and answer questions
regarding food and beverage items.
Engage, converse and interact with guests in a positive, friendly, professional, courteous, and respectful manner always
Up-sell beer and other beverage items to complement food selections.
Serve all food and beverage orders efficiently using proper service etiquette.
Ensure guest satisfaction and report any problems or concerns to the Director of Golf or
manager on duty.
Ensure that the dining area and patio are properly set, cleared, cleaned and re-set throughout the entire shift, completion of side duties assigned by F&B Supervisor.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills)
Previous experience in fine dining an asset.
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Ontario Smart Serve certification.
Food handling certification is an asset but not required.
First Aid/CPR certification is an asset but not required.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT: Indoors and outdoors in the spring/summer and fall weather conditions on the covered patio and in the snack bar.
Working multiple meal service periods, standing for 8-12 hours a day.
Moving furniture when preparing special arrangements.
Must be able to lift 50 LBS.
Must be willing to work morning shifts, evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
