Workd is seeking a talented Senior Business Analyst to join our team in Farmington Hills, MI or remotely!

The Senior Business Analyst defines, documents, and manages business requirements. They work directly with clients to identify business needs and act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to create the best solutions to meet client’s business objectives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or closely related role, preferably in a SaaS environment
• Highly skilled in techniques to identify client business needs, negotiate priorities between clients and internal team, and then collaborate with the development team to ensure that the requirements are implemented effectively
• Strong ability to build relationships with clients and internal teams
• Ability to segment requirements to manageable development epics, stories, and tasks
• Proficient with development lifecycle tools like Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence), BitBucket, business process flowcharts and diagrams, and UI low fidelity wireframing
• Proficient critical thinking and problem identification/resolution skills
• Proficient time-management skills with the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and to multitask
• Team player who works well with both technical and non-technical resources
• Proficient understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes
• Proficient understanding of development cycle scenarios
• Ability to see the final goal — the problems that the finished application must solve
• Ability to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree or higher with technology or business emphasis, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience

Responsibilities

• Provide strong analytical and problem-solving skills to elicit requirements, identify alternatives, and design and deploy quality solutions
• Work with the development team to ensure the design and development of technology solutions fulfills all business requirements and achieves desired client experience objectives and goals
• Monitor the project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customers on technical matters
• Identify and analyze client’s business needs and transfer those needs into business requirements
• Create and maintain well-written and clear requirements documentation
• Communicate requirements to clients and internal teams to obtain consensus
• Assist with user acceptance testing to ensure development meets expectations
• Become a Subject Matter Expert in cross functional processes related to our business systems
• Drive system and process changes resulting in improvements in system usage, internal efficiency, and data accuracy
• Explain transformational concepts to executive decision makers and influence their technology strategy
• Ensure requirements, processes, and standards are met
• Adapt to business changes and modify standards to meet new needs as they arise
• Serve as a mentor to junior-level Business Analysts
