Wildtype is on a mission to create the cleanest, most sustainable seafood on the planet, starting with sushi-grade salmon. We’re pioneering cellular agriculture to protect wild species and our oceans, and to reverse trends of global food insecurity. Wildtype will provide consumers with a new option for real seafood that provides the same nutritional benefits as the most pristine wild-caught fish, without common contaminants such as mercury, microplastics, antibiotics, or pesticides.
We were founded in 2016 by Aryé Elfenbein (Chief Scientist), a cardiologist and molecular biologist, and Justin Kolbeck (CEO), a former US diplomat who served in Pakistan and Afghanistan, in an effort to solve one of the world’s biggest problems: how to feed a growing population without stripping the earth of its natural resources and biodiversity. Investors include Spark Capital, Charles River Ventures, Root Ventures, Alexis Ohanian and Kyle Vogt, among others.

What you bring to the table
2+ years of experience developing content, either in-house or at an agency
Deep experience using programs such Adobe Creative Suite and video production tools to create compelling, video-first content for our website and social media
How to produce and curate content that sparks interest, informs, and drives appetite appeal and purchase intent
How to write great copy to solidify our brand voice
How to produce video content for TikTok, Instagram & YouTube
How to rapidly grow our audience
What we’ll teach you
What our brand stands for, how our technology works - and how it ties in to global health and environmental crises
We will provide you with a budget and tools to learn new social media & content strategies and tactics
Within 1 month as the first member of our marketing team, you’ll have the opportunity to build our creative assets from the ground-floor. You’ll be working independently to maintain a daily posting cadence. You’ll develop a posting calendar and brainstorm potential campaigns and stories worth telling.
Within 3 months you will have created content that increased engagement and found new audiences
Within 6 months you will have grown our audiences across all channels. You will have also laid a foundation for Wildtype to become the best storyteller in our field.
Within 12 months you will have developed and refined our content strategy for launching the first cell-cultivated seafood products in the world. We want you to feel a deep sense of ownership over Wildtype’s brand and customer experience, including how consumers first learn about Wildtype and cellular agriculture.
