Work in a native Microsoft Windows Active Directory Services and Exchange infrastructure with over 350 workstations and 80+ servers. Administrate and support the client's network hardware and software infrastructure. Work in a team environment, as well as autonomously, to resolve problems efficiently and expeditiously. The Network Administrator will be responsible for multiple high level facets of the IT environment with a strong focus on security. Administrate & Support

· Windows Server products, including 2003, 2008, 2008R2 and Exchange 2008

· Server virtualization including VMware

· Microsoft Terminal Services and Citrix

· PC operating system Windows 7

· LAN/WAN architecture, firewalls, routers, and switches

· Cisco phone system

· Blackberry Enterprise Server and other Mobile Device Manager servers

· Anti-virus and other network protection products

· Third party venders/providers

· Symantec Backup Exec

· Network monitoring tools Security Focus

· Assists with the clarification of individual Information Security responsibility and accountability so that necessary activities are performed as needed, according to pre-established procedures, polices and standards

· Assist with the Information Security efforts of all internal groups that have one or more security-related responsibilities, to ensure that organization-wide efforts are consistent across the organization, and that duplication of effort is minimized

· Work with departments to obtain management concurrence on governance forms and questionnaires dealing with Information Security

· Investigate the ways that Information Security related technologies, requirements statements, internal processes and organizational structures can be used to achieve business goals Software Support

· Perform software upgrades, patches and installations

· Platforms – VMware, Microsoft server 2003, 2008 and 2008 R2

· Various department specific software packages

Hardware Support

· Diagnose, troubleshoot, setup and repair of Servers, and other network equipment

· Build, upgrade, patch, move and install Servers and network equipment

· Coordinate service with outside vendors

· Support remote users connecting to main network


· Create and maintain documentation for procedures, installations, and other documentation as required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree required, with a record of academic achievement

· Excellent customer service skills

· Self-Motivated

· Ability to work independently and in teams

· Ability to multi task and work in time-sensitive situations

· Enthusiasm to learn current and emerging technologies

· Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within IT field

· Strong analytical and communications skills

· Strong technical competence

· Strive to utilize available resources to resolve complex problems
