We are in search of a professional IT/IS Manager to perform information technology and information systems duties in support of our Rochester based clients business model. The role would include operational and technological oversight. We are looking for an individual with documented experience, preferably from a retail industry, in all the following competencies:

Technology & Systems COMPETENCIES

  • Key/Required Competencies
    • Recommends, planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting corporate and regional infrastructure.
    • Implements network security at the corporate and remote office level as established by the person in charge of corporate security and/or IT Director.
    • Oversees the administration and maintenance of the company's infrastructure, and directs more junior staff when necessary.
    • Oversees the administration of the company's LAN and WAN.
    • Oversees the administration and maintenance of computer stations and software.
    • Oversees troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery and provides expert support when necessary.
    • Works with project teams to help implement Internal Systems.
    • Oversees all office help desk activities at the corporate and remote office level.
    • Responds to escalated help desk issues.
    • Oversees the administration and maintenance of tracking software.
    • Interacts with internal clients on all levels to help resolve IT-related issues and provides answers in a timely manner.
  • Supports and manages Internal Systems (Windows™ and IBM AS400™)
o Oversees troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery and provides expert support when necessary.
o Effectively works with project teams to help implement Internal Systems.
o Builds and maintains vendor relationships and manages the purchase of hardware and software products.
o Prepares operating and capital budgets.
o Manages the purchasing of all software, hardware and other IT supplies at the corporate level.
o Ensures that company assets are maintained responsibly.
  • Ensures that all projects and project tasks are completed on time and on budget, and are fully in line with expected outcomes and predefined success factors.

  • Preferred Competencies
    • Manages and develops upgrades to the company's telephone system at the corporate and remote office / warehouse level.
    • Oversees all telephone changes, including routing.
o Oversees the administration and maintenance of company training programs as it relates to information technology systems, applications and program uses and provides additional support if necessary.

    • 4 year degree in information technology studies
    • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE),
    • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS),
    • Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP).
    • VCP – VMware Certified Professional
    • CompTIA Network+

  • Preferred Competencies
    • Advanced degree in information management
    • ITIL V3 Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management
    • CCA – Cisco Certified Architect
    • CISA – Certified Information Systems Auditor
    • Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP)
    • Project Management Professional (PMP)

  • Note: Office Help Desk is responsible for support of systems in the main office the warehouses and remote offices. The in store systems group is responsible for maintenance of the POS Help Desk and the procurement, operation and maintenance of in store equipment.
