This position reports to the CFO of an acute care hospital in Southeast, CT. The Director will oversee annual operating and capital budgets for the hospital and it's affiliated practices. The Director will prepare annual Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports and Office of Health Care Filings to ensure maximization of rembursement opportuniites. He/She will prepare service line pofit and loss statements and serve as a financial advisor for business development planning and supprot operating room business management strategies.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or finance required. Master’s preferred.
At least 7 years in hospital reimbursement required. Experience with Medicare Cost Reports required. Knowledge of the Action O-I Benchmarking database and Avega Budget Systems preferred. Proficiency in Medicare Cost Reporting software. Expert in data manipulation and presentation using Excel. Must have hospital-based experience in budget and reimbursement management.
