You must have experience in a title company to be eligible for this position.
Effectively manages real estate closing transaction for insuring title insurance. This position requires the Escrow Officer to exercise extreme independent judgment and to possess the knowledge and experience necessary to efficiently handle any situation which may arise during the escrow process. Must have not only purchase, but short sale experience.
. Completes real estate escrow transactions by determining requirements; clearing titles; assembling, preparing, and reviewing closing documents; disbursing funds.
. Determines escrow requirements by studying and clarifying buyer, seller, and lender instructions.
. Obtains clear title by ordering payoffs; resolving title defects; satisfying existing liens and encumbrances against property or principals.
. Prepares transaction documents by completing forms and statements . Completes calculations by prorating taxes and interest . Completes closing transaction documents by checking documents for completeness and accuracy; obtaining signatures.
. Prepares HUD by utilizing lender instructions.
. Closes escrow account by balancing and disbursing funds.
•Minimum of 2 Years experience as an escrow officer; MUST be in the area of escrow title
•Position requires ability to perform and be familiar with all types of real estate closings
•Ability to learn alternative closing systems when necessary
•Expert computer skills including working knowledge of Outlook, internet applications and/or company specific databases
•Must have ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
•Self-motivated, results oriented individual
•Capable of multi-tasking, working under pressure and meeting deadlines
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
