Townsend is growing, and an experienced Admissions Coordinator is needed for our beautiful, new, soon-to-be open facility! This position requires current counseling license/credential, prior counseling experience and the willingness to provide counseling services as needed, in addiction to admissions. You must have the following credentials, skills and experience for this position:

  • College degree

  • Current, unencumbered counseling credentials/licensure

  • Prior counseling experience, preferably in addiction treatment.

  • Must have significant experience working in patient assessments/admissions. ** Experience must be clearly described on your resume.

  • Exceptional relationship management skills.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from referral sources, clients and the general public.

  • Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time.

  • Must be able to travel if/when occasionally needed.

  • Willingness to learn about the addiction treatment industry through continuing education opportunities and internal training.

  • Able to effectively overcome barriers and work with prospective patients and support systems to increase admissions.

  • Knowledge of resources available in the community pertinent to addiction treatment.

  • Great computer skills including solid understanding of how to use email programs, Word, Excel, etc.

  • Able to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally.

  • Able to positively interact and develop rapport with clients and their families, professional support staff, team members and various levels of staff from the community agencies.

  • Able to act as a role model, demonstrating appropriate problem-solving skills and stress-management skills.

  • Possess an understanding of the role of 12-step principles in sobriety.

  • Willingness to provide excellent customer service.

  • If in recovery, must have 2 years of sobriety.

  • Local candidates only (no relocation)

  • Assessing patients for addiction using the Townsend proprietary system.

  • Recommending the proper level of care for clients.

  • Admitting patients into the addiction treatment program.

  • Assisting team to meet or exceed monthly admission targets.

  • Providing uncompromising exceptional customer service.

  • Assisting patients throughout the assessment/admission process.

  • Following up with prospective patients and removing barriers to increase chance of admission.

  • Assisting clinic staff to resolve patient and family complaints and communicating with patients as requested by clinical team.

  • Ensuring all admission paperwork is complete and accurate.

  • Ensuring all preliminary testing is complete.

  • Maintaining files and records as assigned.

  • Compiling data for confidential/statistical reports.

  • Building and managing relationships with potential referral sources on behalf of Townsend.

  • Other duties as assigned.
