Areas of Responsibility
- Work collaboratively with other development peers to design and implement web-based product features and enhancements
- Provide on-going support to corporate staff with application related questions and issues
- 3+ years SQL
- 3+ years experience developing in C#, C++, Java or any other object-oriented language
- Working experience with Microsoft SQL 2005 and developing with relational database technologies
- Base understanding of Agile development methodologies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Insurance industry experience is helpful but not necessary
- BS in Computer Science or related engineering discipline or commensurate professional experience
Successful candidates will possess a wide base of development knowledge to solve complex problems that may span code, configuration and deployment practices. Critical thinking skills and taking ownership of projects is essential for this candidate. Candidate must be enthusiastic about bringing a leading-edge product to market and possess a strong sense of ownership for projects, tasks and software. We are building a core production support team with developer’s that possess a strong desire and initiative to simply ‘get it done’ – working closely together, our team is agile, smart and highly productive. Candidates must possess the ability to multi-task while completing projects on time. Successful candidates at Torrent enjoy working in a team environment and communicate well with peers, subordinates and supervisors. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
