The UA is responsible for clearing all submissions and for issuing, endorsing, cancelling and reinstating policies as well as other administrative tasks. In addition to the processing duties, the UA assists all underwriting staff and other UA colleagues as needed.
Main Purpose of Job
Clearing all submissions. Triage new opportunities. Issue, endorse, cancel, and reinstate policies. Assist underwriting staff when needed.
Work within the ImageRight workflows.
Timely attention to all submissions and policy requests.
Support the underwriting teams as requested.
Recommend changes to workflows to make more efficient.
Interact with Topa customers via phone and email.
Support and work within the Core Values of Topa.
Issuing binders and evaluating renewal business.
Other duties as requested.
High School diploma or equivalent or relevant insurance coursework (INS 21, 22, 23, etc.).
Demonstrated sense of urgency around providing excellent customer service and appropriate attention to business matters.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to effectively interact with a range of personalities.
Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills to work in a high-performance teams’ environment which values individual and team contribution
Demonstrated math skills to perform duties of assigned position.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency with computers and work productivity software.
Commitment to some professional development (ongoing insurance courses to gain insurance designations and/or additional professional training.)
