In this position, you will ensure the compliance and accuracy of the ANCC Magnet® application documents of Tipton’s clients. You will be responsible for evaluating client documents, editing content, reviewing the evaluations completed by other team members and coaching clients and team members. Strong writing, data analysis and planning skills are absolutely necessary. Nursing experience is not required but is preferred. Magnet experience is required.
Review Magnet Sources of Evidence documents by evaluating narrative for completeness, adherence to Magnet criteria, and evaluate evidence supporting narrative. Coach client by providing suggested content, edit for grammar and format.
Review for accuracy the document evaluations and client coaching recommendations completed by other Tipton team members.
Maintain a thorough understanding of ANCC Magnet requirements and expectations and Tipton Communications’ document review process, style and requirements.
Develop the skills and value of Tipton Communications’ document evaluation team.
Consult with client writers on specific documents, as needed
Generate general educational content for public consumption/marketing purposes (ex: blogs, Facebook, website, marketing brochures, etc.)
Provide support for Manager, Magnet Services (SOEs) and Manager, Magnet Services (EOs)
5-7 years Nursing/Process Improvement/Quality/Magnet/Technical Writing experience.
Direct Magnet document writing/editing experience.
Strong analytical skills
Attention to detail
Project management experience required.
Excellent client and peer communications skills required.
Experience in editing technical, healthcare, engineering or scientific material.
Ability to complete complex analyses and provide effective coaching guidance in a deadline-based environment.
Ability to multitask, prioritize and develop and maintain own schedule.
An understanding of the basic concepts, practices and specialized vocabulary used within a healthcare environment.
Superior writing and research skills.
Superior presentation skills.
Desire to review and improve client Magnet application documents all day, every day
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
