Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the Bilingual Senior Order Services Correspondent is responsible for the processing of customer orders on a timely basis. These include EDI transmissions and manual order entries. Provides order information to sales, customers and management as required.
Key responsibilities include:
•Processes all types of orders, credit returns and cancellations as per assigned deadlines
•Checks and expedites orders to ensure accuracy of data, maximum fill rates are achieved, and product is shipped on the customer’s requested shipping date
•Coordinate the receipt of incoming product with inventory control and distribution departments based on a set of priorities and allocate inventory when received to ensure proper allocation of product.
•Investigates customer or sales force complaints pertaining to orders
•Process credit returns, ensuring that company targets are met on a monthly basis
•Maintains and files all relevant output pertaining to customer orders on a weekly basis
•Provides customers with general assistance on product related enquiries
•Trouble-shoot problems and find more efficient ways to handle tasks and improve processes within the department.
•Post secondary education along with one to two years experience in Order Services
•Experience working with major retailers eg. Wal-Mart, Bay, Zellers, Sears etc.
•Excellent problem-solving, analytical, organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Oracle is a must. Knowledge of A+ is an asset.
•Fluency in both oral and written English and French.
