This position reports to the Content Delivery Systems Manager. This individual will combine creative and innovative techniques with cutting-edge technologies to create and maintain the enterprise content management system and other intranet internal tools within eCommerce for all of Client’s web properties. This individual should have a strong background in .NET development and architecture. This individual will work closely with web presentation, content management, and LOB leaders to create and maintain a unified, customer driven direction. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Solutions oriented with the ability to multi-task and make quick, innovative, and creative changes based on feedback from the project teams.
1. Execute high quality .NET development for all Client’s web properties under the direction of the Content Delivery Systems Manager
2. Communicate .NET Development and Architecture standards and adhere to all .NET architecture and enterprise development standards
3. Work closely with content management and web presentation to develop designs that meet the goals of the site design and user experience teams
4. Various other duties as assigned
Experience and Skills requirements:
Type of prior related experience:
Reports to: Content Delivery Systems Manager
Scope of accountability for a Content Delivery Systems Architect includes all consumer, dealer, business, commercial sites, content management system, and internal tools.
Education and certification requirements:
Education level: Required: Bachelor Degree, Masters desired. Minimum: 5 years experience in web development, web programming, interactive design, usability or related field
Major field of study: Computer Science, Human Factors, Web Design, Information Systems
Certifications or special training needed:
Relevant conference/seminar attendance. In-depth knowledge of .NET, C#, and XML
Percentage of time spent on each of the principal Accountabilities in Level Scope:
1. .NET development and execution 65%
2. Deployment and management of deployment activities 15%
3. Collaborative work with remote teams 5%
4. Documentation of new technologies 10%
5. Administrative 5%
Technical Capabilities & Department Specific Accountabilities:
Implement and support innovative, accessible, cost-effective solutions for Client web properties. Partner across related disciplines including IA/ID/Usability, content management, web application development and vendor managed solutions. Key relationships include server-side development teams, ITG and current development vendors. Must have practical experience with C#, OOP and database programming. Related skills include Visual Studio, Ajax, JSP, Java, XML, XSL/XSLST and understanding of CSS. Experience in utilizing different types of content management systems.
