The DHS Security Officer is responsible for providing quality physical security at the client site. The DHS security officer’s duties include but are not limited to patrolling the interior and exterior of the contract site, limiting access control in the building either with person’s or traffic/parking, escorts services, conducting surveillance and or camera monitoring, fire safety and emergency protocol and law and order duties.Qualifications:
US Citizenship at least 21 years of age
Ability to pass a drug screening, background check and
physical/medical examinations as specified under The Diamond
Texas Level 3 Commission
Three (3) years of Law Enforcement/Armed Security experience or
Three (3) years of Military experience or
60 college credits within a revelant field of study or
A combination of the above to equate to three years of experience
DHS MBI (Public Trust) Suitability
DHS 64/72hr Basic Officer Training (w/documentation)
DHS FPS 40hrs Weapons Training (w/documentation)
Texas Level 3 Commission (a plus)
CPR/AED Infant, Child, Adult
The ability to read, write, and speak the English
Good written and oral communication skills, effective for interacting with client and for reporting purposes
Excellent Customer Service skills
Neat and Professional appearance, as specified under The Diamond Group guidelines
Reliable, Dependable and Punctual
Ability to work overtime hours as necessary
High School Diploma or GED Required.
