The key things we are looking for are Home Decor experience, product development and experience with overseas travel and working with factories. Off-price is not as important in this position, but certainly a plus.
This position is for a Retail Buyer that can manage direct buying responsibility based on vendors or classifications and accountability for sales and margin performance within a product division against plan.
For you to be considered for this position the ideal candidates will be self motivated, team players, who have the desire to succeed. You the candidate of choice must have a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business or Liberal Arts, a minimum of 3 years prior buying experience, preferably in an off price national chain environment, solid negotiation skills and decision making ability, flexibility and able to juggle multiple tasks, be an effective verbal and have collaborative skills, have strong analytical and conception skills,, retail math skills, strong pc skills with emphasis on spreadsheet applications, knowledge of merchandizing systems and ability to understand data related to the system. Travel to New York City on a weekly basis (40%) is essential.
Position covers New Jersey - Central Philadelphia / Trenton / Princeton
You will opportunistically purchase highly compelling, quality, branded goods that represent an incredible value and inspiration to customers,
prioritize preservation of liquidity, partner with DMM and planners to manage Open to Buy on a 90 day and seasonal basis.
You will manages receipts in terms of balancing assortments and flexing from flow verses pack-away; effectively alters receipt flow based on business trends, analyze business performance daily and weekly and promptly react to changes in the business.
