We are looking for an experience accountant for an established company in the East Knoxville area.


  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting is required
  • Accomplished professional with a minimum of ten years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in larger corporations (40 million/year)
  • Excellent time management, organization and prioritization skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, able to make recommendations and implement change
  • Strong flexibility and adaptability
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong QuickBooks Enterprise skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills
  • Must have valid TN driver's license

Specific accountabilities include, not limited to, the following:

  • Perform and assist with cash management functions, including daily banking, cash flow projections, coding of related activity, authorizing payments, and banking transactions
  • General Ledger maintenance
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis
  • Preparation of bank reconciliations
  • Recording of payroll generated by a third-party firm
  • Manage accounts receivable and collections, including daily processing of sales invoices
  • Record receipts, daily
  • Maintain an adequate system of internal controls
  • Assist the Senior Management team in driving and monitoring a timely, accurate and efficient reporting processes (monthly and annually)
  • Analyze and reconcile various account general ledger account balances and related activity for content and accuracy
  • Strictly adhere to the monthly close calendar and related deadlines; monitor and ensure expeditious record-to-report processes are followed
  • Perform special project and tasks, timely and accurately, as requested by Senior Management
  • Handle Monthly closing, associated accruals along w/year-end closing in QuickBooks
