Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Cyber Security Engineer, Senior Principal to function as a Project/Program Enhancement Engineer on a team in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Create fully developed project schedules utilizing the Enterprise Scheduling Service platform (ESS) built on Microsoft Project.
  • Create quality slide decks based on projects for leadership presentation
  • Utilize Project Management expertise to populate detailed schedules with milestones and resource loaded.
  • Coordinate the engineering, integration, and administration function required to deliver capabilities and services to the enterprise.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the projects are completed and delivered according to the implementation plan and schedule.
  • Responsible for coordinating the build-out and testing of sophisticated applications and tools in a virtual and physical environment.
  • Lead the exploration of emerging technologies by arranging demonstrations, providing technical evaluations, and input to the customer's roadmap development.
  • Operate and multitask in a dynamic high tempo environment.
  • Manage the engineering, integration, and administration support required for successful delivery of capabilities and services to the operational baseline.
  • Perform change request (CR), service request (SR) and request for change (RFC) activities.
  • Perform work duties in a government environment as part of a multi-contractor team.
  • Lead and coordinate Beta-testing future enhancements to the Audit Enterprise system and provide valuable feedback.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: B.S. or relevant experience in related field.
  • Minimum/General Experience: 7-10 years of related experience.
  • Must possess the required DoD Directive 8570.1 IAT Level II or higher certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and be able to take on tasks quickly with minimal direction.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and troubleshooting skills with a high level of attention to detail are required to succeed in this diverse environment.
  • Should be able to demonstrate understanding and appropriate application of DoD policy and technical security guidance to information systems.
  • A solid understanding of Windows and Linux systems administration, general operating system security practices, TCP/IP networking, and network security concepts is required.
  • Familiarity with the Certification & Accreditation process is preferable but not required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in windows and Linux operating systems
  • Installing, configuring, and hardening of VCenter, VMWare, ESXi, Windows Server and Hyper V, LINUX OS, and SIEM applications.
  • Experience in networking is desired (Routers, Switches, VLANs, IP routing, etc.)
  • Certified PMP or experience with the framework.
  • Experienced leader, communicator with good time management/planning skills.
  • Working knowledge of current COTS Cybersecurity technologies.
  • Risk Management Framework knowledge and experience
  • Working knowledge of database, application and operating system security.
  • Understanding or ability to learn the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously; coordinating resources and ensuring scheduled goals are met.
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas for executive – level as well as technical staff consumption
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to make decisions and resolve problems effectively – Seek out information and data to evaluate, prioritize and formulate best solution or practice.
  • Must be able to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team, share workloads, and deal with sudden shifts in project priorities.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI w/ a CI polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
