Looking for a Full Time Store Manager/Event Manager for one of our Clients.

Retail experience is not a requirement, but candidates must possess excellent communication skills, math skills, organization and the ability to work with and manage people and tasks. A positive attitude and integrity are essential elements as the management team is very strong and ambitious. Store Manager will report directly to owner.

The liquor store manager will manage the daily operations. This position is accountable for the profit and loss (P&L) for their department and must use their leadership and merchandising skills to manage product levels and make sound business decisions. In addition, this position is responsible for increasing guest confidence and loyalty by promoting and executing consistent operating conditions, providing courteous, knowledgeable and prompt service and a friendly atmosphere in the department.

Job Responsibilities Include

  • Manage the daily operations of the store, including cash handling, customer service and inventory control.
  • Help develop policies and procedures where deficiency is identified.
  • Manage inventory, in-stock position, pricing integrity, merchandising, labor, security, expense control and other operational processes to company standards.
  • Ensure the department is merchandised in accordance with the needs of the community; maintain shelf allocations to always ensure the availability of products.
  • Ensure staff greet, assist, provide efficient service and thank guests in a prompt, courteous, friendly and business-like manner in order to promote the company image as a service-oriented operation.
  • Coordinate sales promotion activities
  • Responsible for purchase orders and inventory tracking & analysis
  • Inventory analysis, price negotiating and credit tracking
  • Regularly meet with salespeople, merchandisers and distributor management
  • Ensure compliance of employees via established security, sales, housekeeping and record keeping procedures.
  • Resolve customer complaints in accordance with all operational guidelines.
  • Perform opening and closing functions.
  • Enforce age requirements, checking customer ID’s ; Ensure cashiers are at all times properly following the stores age verification procedures
  • Develop sales and marketing plans.
  • Responsible for compliance with all local, state, and other rules and regulations.
  • Supervise, train and develop employees/staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Verify goods received are consistent with vendor’s invoice and product order; reconcile discrepancies; process invoice for payment.
  • Verify the count and description of the merchandise on credit invoices for all merchandise being removed by vendors.
  • Knowledge of liquor, wines, and beer.
