SymphonyTeleca seeks a Java Web Services Developer for our Enterprise client in Chicago. 6 Months++
JAVA SW Engineer Web Services Hadoop Hbase MapReduce noSQL SQL Oracle ETL DataBase XML HTTP
As a software engineer, you will work independently and with software engineers, program/product managers to architect and develop distributed services and front-end APIs and tools for developers to consume.
•Translation of complex functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design
•Be very hands-on; participate in designs, develop code using Java
•Responsible for large portions of the systems architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance.
* 2-3 years experience with Hadoop, Hbase, MapReduce and other noSQL cloud computing technologies is a requirement
•Background with traditional databases, ETL, and data warehousing is a requirement
•Core competencies in Java, XML, HTTP required; experience with other web technologies such as WS* and .Net is a plus.
•Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, enterprise systems, and asynchronous architectures.
•Understanding of web services software architectural and design issues.
•Exposure to data workflow and/or scheduling systems is a plus.
•Experience with large distributed services is a plus as is building/operating highly available systems.
