The IT EDI Analyst is a technical and administrative position involving daily monitoring of inbound and outbound Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions. Responsibilities include analyzes, designs, and develops specifications for enhancements and extensions with EDI application interfaces and maps. Coordinate EDI testing and trading partner implementation initiatives, and assist with training others in the organization.
Under general supervision is responsible for the following major tasks:
- Complete daily monitoring of EDI systems.
- Troubleshoot, track, and resolve day-to-day issues
- Perform system configuration, mapping for both Ansi X12 and EDIFACT
- Management of transactions and processes.
- Ability to independently analyze and solve complex technical problems involving data load issues, system response time, and business rules conflicts.
- Participate in design and review of new applications and integration strategies of EDI systems.
- Management of VAN connectivity for trading partners.
- Ability to work non-traditional business hours in support of IT operations.
Bachelors Degree and 2-4 years experience with EDI Ansi X12 and EDIFACT. Strong knowledge EDI application software related to manufacturing, Knowledge of iNovis Trusted Link for iSeries and basic programming experience with RPG IV, Free RPG, CL,SQL and XML. Strong logic, analysis, and organizational skills. Possess the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices. Agreement to complete all post-hire required training.
