As New Hope’s Peer support Specialist, you will work together with your team and your community to support those struggling through grief.
Intake, follow up calls.
Oversee & facilitate individual and group peer support.
Lead event planning and execution.
Provide support and training for group volunteer facilitators.
Assist with crisis support programming as needed.
Maintain database of resources.
Solid Christian foundation with demonstrated spiritual and emotional maturity.
Friendly, engaging personality that is relatable and empathetic to those who’ve experienced loss.
Experience facilitating groups and managing support group dynamics.
Highly organized individual with demonstrated administrative verbal and written communication skills.
Healthy self-care practices and professional boundaries.
Schedule flexibility with some evening and weekend availability for programs, trainings, and events.
Personal experience with healing after loss is recommended.
