GUN BUILDER - JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES
Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to the following:
Learn and at all times adhere to the four rules of firearms safety and always maintain a high level of safety on the job
Work with a team to build entire products or components
Read, learn, understand work instructions, and other instructions written or verbal, to complete assembly of products or components according to established guidelines and quality standards.
Use a variety of hand and power tools following appropriate methods and procedures to complete mechanical assembly of handguns.
Follow established guidelines and procedures including locating parts, picking parts from appropriate locations in specified quantities to fill gun kits, recording and communicating inventory levels.
Inspect and test parts and products as necessary, during or after assembly, according to established guidelines and quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment according to maintenance plans and established procedures.
Practice problem solving and troubleshooting techniques as part of a team responsible for continuously improving the process of building reliable handguns used in self defense and competition.
Cross train with other members on the team to increase your overall value to the organization.
GUN BUILDER - JOB SPECIFIC EXPECTATIONS/REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Outstanding attention to detail
Strong mechanical assembly skills. Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or other related fields is a plus but not required.
Eagerness and ability to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment
Ability to handle physical workload
Ability to work well in teams
Ability to work overtime as necessary
GUN BUILDER - PHYSICAL JOB DEMANDS
The responsibilities of this job require the gun builder to regularly stand, walk, stoop, and bend. The gun builder is required to utilize fingers and hands to assemble and work on parts with a variety of hand and power tools and equipment. Personal safety protective equipment is provided and must be utilized by all team members.
