This is a great opportunity for an HR professional who is looking to advance their career. Solid growing start-up company is seeking a Human Resources Manager. The successful candidate must be able to perform a wide variety of professional human resource services which may include, benefits administration, write all policies, performance management-related activities, employee relations, classification/compensation, on-boarding and termination-related activities.
Administer various insurance plans, (i.e. medical, dental, vision, life, Short and Long Term Disability and Supplemental Life); coordination of annual open enrollment/benefits and health fair and provides insurance carriers with additions, changes and terminations in a timely fashion.
Responsible for a comprehensive employee personnel records system for all employees, regardless of category of employment, including insurance/benefit forms, personnel action forms, pay history, performance evaluations, promotions, increases, merit bonuses, and disciplinary documents; manages records according to state and federal guidelines/records retention schedules.
Advises employees and distributes information to employees regarding benefits, compensation, policies and procedures; provides assistance and staff support to departments/divisions as requested; answers public inquiries concerning job openings, employment verification,and general information.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in human resources, psychology, and/or public/business administration. 3+ years of experience in benefits administration. Must be proficient in benefits administration, writing policies, NYS & California employment law, and performance appraisal. Strong written and communication skills.
