You are a professional Web Applications Developer with agency experience, looking for a challenging position that provides you both professional growth and the opportunity to be an integral part of a dynamic and forward-thinking company.Duties:

  • Play a major role in the development of attractive, rich, data-driven, public-facing websites and applications
  • Integration of components such as Flash, XML web services and third-party components
  • Strategize and develop functionality for websites that integrate Facebook API
  • Work as part of a collaborative team through effective communication, bug tracking applications, source code repository
  • Communicate effectively with senior technology staff and project management via Email, Skype/IM, issue tracking systems, phone and in-person
  • Comprehend direction from both the technology side (senior developers, Creative Director) and business side (project managers, client contacts)
  • Work on multiple projects at once and effectively budget time based on workload
  • Cultivate your skill set through research and being aware of the latest technology trends and offerings
Required Skills:
  • At least 6 years experience creating data-driven web applications
  • Experience with PHP including OOP techniques, Experience with MVC frameworks like CodeIgniter or CakePHP is ideal.
  • Experience with ASP.NET in C#
  • Robust Front-End Development skills including: HTML, CSS, Javascript & AJAX, and prepping images for the web from Photoshop documents
  • Third-party CMS platform implementation, such as Kentico, Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal
  • Database development (referential integrity, schema creation, stored procedures, triggers, UDFs) using MySQL and SQL Server 2008+
  • Ability to effectively debug and test web applications against a QA plan
  • Knowledge of working with version control systems, specifically Subversion: branching, merging, etc.

Preferred Skills:

  • Ecommerce platform/plugin integration
  • Social network platform integration, such as Twitter, Facebook, Yammer, etc.
  • Consuming and creating XML & JSON Web Services
  • Third-party API integration, such as, Amazon, Ebay, etc.
  • Experience writing and customizing jQuery plugins
  • Experience with server administration on the LAMP stack
