Position Summary:
Functions as the Nurse Executive for the Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital inpatient nursing service. Is responsible for direct administration of Nursing Services at Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital including the following service areas: Acute Medical, Critical Care, Emergency, Obstetrical, and Perioperative. Serves as the leader of the Nursing Executive Council which includes all nurse managers and charge nurses in Nursing Services. Functions as a consultant for practice, program development, policy, quality management and budget for the Mt. Edgecumbe Nursing Services.

Baseline Qualification Requirements:
* Graduate on an accredited school of nursing: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing required.
* 10 years in clinical nursing which includes at least 5 years reflecting progressive nursing leadership level positions.
* A valid, current, full and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska.
* Current BLS and ACLS. Current PALS and NRP (as required by previous specialty, in order to comply with standards if required to work on the unit). Must be obtained within six months of hire and biannually thereafter.

OR;

* Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and Master’s Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Health Care Administration, Management, or Public Administration: 8 years in clinical nursing that includes 3 years reflecting progressive nursing leadership level positions.
* A valid, current, full and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska.
* Current BLS and ACLS. Current PALS and NRP (as required by previous specialty, in order to comply with standards if required to work on the unit). Must be obtained within six months of hire and biannually thereafter.
