THE OPPORTUNITY: LEAD MEDIA BUYER (DIRECTOR LEVEL)

LifeScript.com is looking for an experienced, smart and incredibly driven media buying professional to lead the Company’s media buys. This individual must be very experienced with online media buying with proven experience increasing ROI. The role will report to the SVP of LifeScript Advantage and will drive the media buying strategy and lead the team by leveraging traffic data and analysis. This role will be leading negotiations with the Company’s various vendors.

Specifically...

  • Assess the Company’s media buying needs, manage budgets and provide strategic media buying direction to achieve targeted goals.
  • Responsible for leading all media buying initiatives – LifeScript drives traffic to the site through multiple PPC vendors; this role will lead the communication and negotiations with those vendors.
  • Be the expert on digital marketing and buying practices and serve as the subject-matter-expert on strategy and emerging channels.
  • Identify areas of the site that need additional traffic and work with appropriate vendors to fulfill those needs efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure the tracking; analyzing and optimizing of media buys.
  • Work with senior management to define business goals and turn them into actionable items.
  • Proactively establish and manage client and vendor relationships and processes.
  • Be a leader and provide industry knowledge, best practices, and media buying expertise and strategy for teams.
  • Manage analytics and tracking, day-to-day marketing operational management, digital channel allocation, emerging opportunities and new partnerships.
  • Monitor campaign delivery and provide daily/weekly/monthly reports and counsel on digital strategy to both management and media team.
  • Share insights on pricing, campaign trends; research and stay up-to-date on general best practices pertaining to digital media buying.
  • Manage and lead the marketing/media buying teams; be a hands-on leader and cognitive of people and resource management.
  • Act as a thought leader and actively involved in providing professional growth among the team.
  • Develop and cultivate key partnerships to grow LifeScript’s business, visibility and ROI.
  • Actively participate at relevant conferences, industry panels, speaking events, and committees.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICA TIONS/ATTRIBUTES

This position requires media buying expertise and proven experience driving incremental ROI. The ideal candidate must have a high level of attention to detail and incredibly strong communication skills. The individual must be able to establish priorities, set goals work and manage teams effectively and meet deadlines. The position requires the ability to think and react quickly to changing media buying scenarios and price points.

  • EDUCATION: BA/BS preferred but relevant hands-on industry experience is more important.
  • EXPERIENCE: 5-7+ years of experience of online media buying with proven experience in increasing ROI and working with online marketing campaigns in a metrics driven environment.
  • MUST have experience with banner/display media buying, Facebook ad buys and “out of box” ad buys.
  • Direct Response media buying is required.
  • Experience working with back-end moving targets (where the back end value for conversion varies) and proven ability to adjust media buying strategy on the fly as appropriate.
  • Proven track record of delivering results working with online publishers, buying media and negotiating with vendors.
  • Experienced with Google Analytics, DART and other web analytic applications performing analysis (including ROI).
  • Business minded leader with analytical expertise and strong verbal/written/interpersonal communication skills.
  • Able to build effective relationships across the company, work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Very organized individual with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to effectively prioritize/multi-task.
  • Self-motived, driven and willing to take initiative.
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, deadline driven and results oriented environment.
  • A patient and natural leader who seeks continuous improvement, enjoys wearing multiple hats and willing to try new ideas.
  • Knows what needs to be done and operates with a sense of urgency, discipline and focus.
