Simtech Process Systems is seeking an experienced purchasing / inventory manager to oversee and maintain inventory levels within a small business environment. This individual will actively control daily purchasing, negotiating volume purchases, maintaining proper inventory levels, oversee physical inventory counts. The individual chosen for this position will interact with supplies, customer service, sales, and warehouse/fabrication teams to support operations through planning, scheduling, and expediting of products and raw material.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute day-to-day procurement activities in a timely fashion to support company-wide inventory requirements.
  • Manage, maintain, and implement purchasing policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other functions / departments to ensure all inventory needs are met.
  • Responsible for overseeing all incoming product, ensuring proper receipt and placement of product.
  • Oversee and implement supplier compliance with internal quality control standards, notifying vendor of nonconformance.
  • Ensure accurate cost and maximizing available discounts and payment terms.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate costing and maximizing available discounts and payment term with vendors.
  • Introduce performance improvement measures for suppliers and vendors
  • Direct continuous improvement of purchasing processes in line with changing organizational needs and market conditions.
  • Manage, negotiate, and evaluate in-coming freight cost to provide the company with strategic savings.
  • Tracing shipments to ensure timely inventory deliveries, updating dates within Macola ERP system.
  • Notify customer service and sales teams with delivery delays to ensure notification to customer and fabrication department.
  • Constantly monitor, maintain, and track current inventory usage, updating proper inventory levels (MIN/MAX) are documented with in Macola ERP system.
  • Maintain and monitor inventory activities and variances updating Macola ERP system accordingly.
  • Conduct and manage physical inventory counts identifying improvement.
  • Create detailed reports for adjustments to inventory and stocking levels

Education and Experience

  • College degree in business, materials management, operations management, or related fields.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory management.
  • Advanced in the use of MS Excel and report writer software such as SAP-Crystal Reports.
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong planning, and time management skills.
  • Experience with basic bookkeeping and Accounts Payable practices

· Must have ability to work under tight deadlines, negotiate pricing, effective multi-tasking, strong follow-up skills.


  • 55,00 to 65,00 - Commensurate with experience and successful completion of training
