Retail Sales Associate

Our retail store is currently accepting applications to fill the role of a Retail Sales Associate. We are in need of someone who is a proactive team player and enjoys helping customers with their firearm/accessory needs. We're a small business that focuses on product knowledge and building rapport with customers to create memorable, lasting experiences. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Greet and assist customers as they walk through the door
• Show customers the products of interest and answer questions
• Build rapport through conversation and honest recommendations
• Ring up sales and arrange for appointments, if necessary
• Accurately fill out necessary paperwork for firearms sales
• Upsell extra items when appropriate, such as accessories and ammunition
• Invite customers to follow us on social media and join our newsletter
• Inform customers of policies, when necessary

Retail Sales Associate Skills/Qualifications:

• 2+ years' retail sales experience preferred
• High school diploma/GED required
• High-energy, friendly personality
• Time management skills
• Basic addition and subtraction skills
• Self-motivated and proactive, easily knowing when/what tasks need attention
• Willingness to become subject matter expert
• Business awareness, understanding the latest trends in the industry and providing knowledge
• Active listening skills, offering full attention to customers and team members when necessary
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills, being able to evaluate situations and come up with a plan/solution
• Capable of interpreting customers' words and showing products that meet their needs
• Must be able to pass a background check
