JOB TITLE: Dedicated Logistics Coordinator
The Dedicated Logistics Coordinator is located at the customer facility and is responsible for day to day liaison with assigned account. This position is also assigned to grow the account by becoming broader and deeper; creating barriers for competition and removing barriers through interaction and networking with various departments of the customer responsible for making routing decisions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø Responsible for all the day to day activities in instigating, building and moving freight for the customer.
Ø Operations process adherence; use personal judgment to satisfy customer expectations regarding pickup and delivery of product.
Ø Customer services; expected to solve problems, provide new rates, and be the one call for any customer needs/issues.
Ø Serve as contact and negotiator for the customer in matters regarding transportation operations.
Ø Carrier development and carrier relations; visit carrier’s locations and to learn their needs and express the needs of our carriers to be their first call with equipment availability as it relates to a specific account
Ø Continuously work with customer to be their first call with freight availability.
Ø Business development; responsible for correctly setting the pricing to the customer to ensure that margins are acceptable for the corporation.
Ø Performance measurement; based on account performance, new lanes acquired, productivity and delivery of service.
o Other Key Performance Indicators include: Load Count growth, margin growth, new opportunities received,
Ø Daily Freight report upload to the Customer’s TMS
Ø Contact customer to setup delivery appointments
Ø Secure equipment and power and schedule them to arrive for loading product
Ø Ensure carriers understand their responsibility when delivering a load
Ø Work with the local Branch as necessary to facilitate the timely completion of the above duties

Education and Experience: Associates degree, plus one or more years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be teachable and eager to learn.

Interpersonal Skills: Must have good people skills, with the ability to grasp extensive knowledge while dealing with a wide variety of people. Must be able to present one’s self in a cooperative and professional manner with both internal and external customers and vendors.
Communication Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret verbal and written requests and directions. Must have the ability to compose emails and other written documentation clearly and concisely.
Computer Applications Skills: Must have working knowledge of Windows operating system and be proficient in Microsoft software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Browser.) Strong keyboard skills.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations as they relate to calculating pricing, revenue, and margin.
Reasoning Ability: Keen ability to assess situations, perform root cause analysis, and provide solutions. Ability to think things through and develop processes that contribute to enhanced organizational efficiency.

Physical Demands. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and perform tasks requiring repetitive use of hands. The employee must occasionally walk, stand and travel by car, airplane or other means. Employee must have the ability to see written documents, computer screens and to adjust focus.
Work Environment. This job is performed in a temperature controlled office environment. This position will have a primary work location where the employee will be located.
