We are in search of the ultimate Administrative Assistant/Customer Service Specialist to join our roofing team in Marina, CA. 2-5 consecutive years in Administrative /Customer support would be a big plus!

The Job:

Assistant to the President with administrative and customer relations duties that include working with customers, our entire outside sales team, our office staff, as well as production and other departments as needed.

You will work with staff and make the first impression on our customers so you’ll need to be:

  • Great at communication and yes, both written and verbal.
  • A Zen Master who will maintain a professional and warm, fuzzy attitude at all times (even if you’re having a bad day or faced with a customer who seems to be off their meds)!
  • Excellent phone skills including directing and intercepting calls and the ability to do far more than two things at once.
  • Top customer service skills when interacting with our customers and vendors via telephone, email and in person.
  • Exceptional ability to manage customer needs as well as staff needs, including reading minds on more than a few occasions.
  • Great at dealing with and handling leads as well as thorough and very timely follow up and outreach.
  • A tireless soldier with internal responsibilities that might include things such as lead follow up phone calls, written memos, project reports, job folders, organizational items, direct mail support and a variety of ever-increasing (but never mind-numbing!) administrative and customer care duties.
  • The ability to work hard with limited supervision, as well as the ability to follow various departmental instructions and requests from staff and department heads, in addition to your work for the president of the company.
  • A flexible team player not afraid of change (even if change comes hourly some days).
  • A big believer in never missing deadlines and always giving your best!
  • Customer-focused and able to build strong relationships with clients that instill confidence, loyalty and trust no matter how challenging the conversation or situation.
  • The ability to work hard, work under pressure and keep your composure in a very fast-paced environment.
  • The superpower of volunteerism…If you’re not busy, you’ll be searching for something else to do or someone else to help – an individual or an entire department!

Must Haves:

  • Administrative /Customer support experience.
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and the ability to quickly learn proprietary business software programs as needed.
  • Strong, thorough organizational skills.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • The ability to pass a drug and background check.
