Our fast-growing digital agency is looking for a full-time Senior Digital Advertising Manager to help fulfill our growing demand for smart digital advertising strategy and campaign management. This position will report to the CEO and other company partners.
This position will start remote but the ideal candidate will be able to commute to the Portsmouth, Virginia office once social distancing restrictions are lifted. However, we are open to fully remote candidates who are an excellent fit.
Be the driving force behind effective and profitable digital advertising campaigns.
Work with company leaders, teammates, and clients as a constructive and collaborative partner to create new strategies, improvements, and campaign ideas.
Lead planning, execution, and performance analysis of integrated digital campaigns spanning paid search, paid social, display advertising, retargeting, and owned media.
Oversee all active digital advertising campaigns and manage supporting activities provided by other teammates (e.g. creative, budget monitoring, strategic guidance). This includes active hands-on management of all elements for some campaigns.
Provide strategic insights and recommendations for key elements of advertising campaigns, including:
Overall campaign structure and budget allocation across upper funnel and lower funnel tactics
Landing page content and UX considerations
Messaging, ad copy, and creative content
Audience identification and segmentation
Tactics to continually grow campaigns while improving performance
Campaign goals and performance metrics
Analyze user behavior to identify opportunities to improve engagement, conversions, and other campaign performance metrics.
Identify opportunities to grow client revenue and increase marketing efficiency.
Maintain open communication with major clients to collaborate on new initiatives, coordinate marketing activities with client in-house teams, share status updates, and analyze performance factors.
Manage other advertising staff and vendors.
Work with our Amazon advertising team and learn more about the Amazon Advertising platform to eventually manage campaigns and oversee Amazon client accounts.
Maintain high levels of up-to-date knowledge of best practices and strategies in digital advertising.
Approximately 50% of your time will focus on hands-on campaign management in the first 6-12 months before transitioning to high-level strategy and staff management as the team grows.

15% Developing strategies, planning for new initiatives, and drafting creative requirements
15% Managing junior staff and/or contractors, collaborating with teammates

5% Drafting and presenting performance reports
5+ years of experience leading digital advertising campaign strategy, planning, and execution for national and regional brands.
Minimum of 2 years of experience directly leading campaigns for e-commerce clients.
5+ years of experience in hands-on campaign management in all of the following platforms:
Facebook Ads, including Instagram placements
Paid Search: Google Search, Google Shopping, Product Listing Ads, Bing Ads
Experience managing a digital marketing team with a proven ability to delegate with clear and actionable guidance.
You must be a wizard in both MS Excel and Google Analytics with experience manipulating data to uncover actionable insights that are not obvious in standard reports.
Experience and interest in social media marketing - both paid and organic.
You must know how to proactively manage digital campaigns, think two steps ahead, and keep track of what needs to be done today to achieve tomorrow’s goals.
You must be an effective verbal and visual communicator with both clients and internal team members.
Experience in Amazon Advertising and LinkedIn Advertising is a plus but not a requirement.

Roadmap for this position
The role will initially work alongside Casey Greenhood, one of the company owners who currently oversees all of the work described in this job listing. The goal is for this position to take over the majority of digital advertising responsibilities from Casey so she can spend more time on other parts of the business. Our plan is to hire another digital advertising support role within 6-9 months, though that timeline may be accelerated depending on growth trajectory.
