Qualfications needed:
Graduation from accredited School of Nursing with MSN degree, current license to practice in North Carolina required;
Current relevant certification in NC for Family Nurse Practitioner required; national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner required; BLS certification required; prefer two years experience in a family practice office or health clinic setting; experience in providing health education on a individual or group basis.

What your will get to do! The Nurse Practitioner/Employee Health Specialist, under the supervision of the Employee Health Service Medical Director, will deliver care to employees in a manner consistent with an organizational medical home. With a focus on preventive care, the Nurse Practitioner/Employee Health Specialist will assist employees in providing episodic, referral, and coordination of care with community physician providers. With a focus on health improvement, this position will identify wellness strategies focused on prevention, the early detection of illness, management of health risks, chronic conditions, and serve as an employee resource in supporting a culture of wellness.

WORK EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years experience in a family practice and/or health clinic setting preferred.

FUNCTION: To manage mobile unit The FNP/PA, under the supervision of the physician, delivers acute and basic health care to clients and fulfills such duties as assessment, planning, teaching, and counseling. The FNP/PA functions as a health team member in meeting the objectives of the mobile unit program.
