System Administrator Internship - Job#1059

This Part Time Internship position will be providing support to specific IT projects, Daily and weekly updates on project statuses as well as participation in all RBCU IT Team meetings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (a summary of general responsibilities, but not limited to)

  1. Documentation of software applications, hardware systems and processes.
  2. Inventory of IT systems.
  3. Analysis of support tickets.
  4. Analysis of security systems.
  5. Other projects as assigned.



We are looking for students majoring in Computer Science/Network Engineering ideally.


Applicants should have excellent analytical, writing and computer skills, with the ability to work in teams.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, incident ticket tracking systems, applications, VOIP, printers, servers, Microsoft OS, Internet protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, FTP), basic networking, including wireless networks.

Physical Requirements:

  1. The employee must be able to lift 35 pounds.
  2. The employee is regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods; use their hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  3. The employee must be able to read from a computer screen and enter data with the use of a keyboard.

Working Conditions:

  1. Stress varies depending on work flow from high to low.
  2. Working some Saturdays may be required.
  3. Must be flexible with scheduling to cover open shifts at all offices.
  4. Some travel between offices may be required.
