The Social Media Freelancer will support brand awareness and all digital marketing related initiatives. This role will handle special projects related to social media analytics, daily moderation, and reporting. Job duties are directed by the marketing and brand manager as well as the public relations manager in accordance with the Reunion Tower social media strategic plan.


JAdditional job duties includeing, but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversees and executes day-to-day social media responsibilities, monitoring and responding to comments and interactions, and creating and implementing social media campaigns
  • Updates current and emerging social media platforms, spearheads new initiatives, and participates in media efforts
  • Shoots, edits and delivers image and video assets and some digital content
  • Creates written, visual and multimedia content targeted toward specific social media platforms and audiences (e.g., photos, statuses and videos for social media)
  • Supports with photography at events, when necessary
  • Assists with tasks including copy writing for eblasts and authoring the Reunion Tower blog
  • Sets goals and objectives for social media profiles, establishes effective benchmarks for measuring impact of social media programs
  • Evaluates results and recommend changes to strategies
  • Stays up to date on the latest social media trends and state-of-the-art technology, such as new algorithms, features and platforms
  • Evaluates and recommends newsworthy activities and events
  • The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor form assigning duties that are logically related to the position, performs other related duties as required or as directed, any other responsibilities as defined by management.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Experience collaborating with internal and external partners

· Excellent communication skills (phone, e-mail and presentations)

· High level of interest and understanding of current media channels, platforms, and tools

· Resourcefulness, reliability and attention to detail are essential

· Basic knowledge of SEO/SEM best practices

· Basic knowledge of Google Analytics, native analytics platforms for social channels

· Excellent time management skills - requires planning, execution, prioritization, and organizational skills

· Works well in a team oriented environment

· Proficient in Microsoft Office

· Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus

· Experience with a web content management system a plus

· Must be a strong team player who takes complete ownership of assigned tasks

· Ability to work a varied schedule. While this is intended to be a 29 hour/week position, nights, Saturdays, and Sundays will be a typical workday
